Work With Me
Hey there!
I am a journalist and producer with the dexterity to unpack complex issues and turn them into compelling stories for print, broadcast, and digital media. Whether it is a character-driven podcast, an explanatory article, or even an opinion piece, I bring curiosity, research, and sharp analysis.
I typically cover science, health, technology, the environment, and public policy. My identity informs my story treatment—I am a queer, multilingual, multiracial Indigenous woman of colour from a “developing” country and an immigrant to a “developed” English-speaking country. I am pro-science, pro-human rights, and anti-bullshit.
With an education background spanning science, sociology, and law, I bring a multi-disciplinary approach to my work. My training in fact-checking, digital verification, and investigative techniques ensures accuracy and depth in my reporting, while my experience in academia and journalism allows me to translate difficult information into engaging, accessible narratives.
Some work I have produced:
“Feminist Fridays: Land Degradation, and Climate Change” – An exclusive radio report with UNCCD’s Executive Director Monique Barbut on the intersections between climate and gender at COP23 for BFM Media
Ring True – A six-part podcast miniseries on misinformation in science news coverage for BFM Media
“Apa itu MA63? Dan kenapa ia penting bagi Sabah dan Sarawak” – Translating the Malaysia Agreement for New Naratif
“Biodiesel fra brukt frityrolje i Asia” – Investigating biofuel production in Asia for Norway’s Pan/Harvest magazine
“The Canadian Dream” – A TV news special on the struggles of new immigrants for OMNI News
“Melas to Mainstream: Punjabi Music’s Boom in Canada” – A TV documentary charting the rise of Punjabi music for OMNI News
What I offer:

Long-form explanatory and feature writing
